Cold Storage Planning in Von Ormy
1. Past emergencies and recovery needs
FEMA lists 13 federally declared major disasters that included Bexar County, Texas. The most recent are Severe Storms, Straight-Line Winds, Tornadoes, And Flooding (flood, declared September 1, 2026, disaster 4935); Severe Winter Storms (severe ice storm, declared February 19, 2021, disaster 4586); Covid-19 Pandemic (biological, declared March 25, 2020, disaster 4485). When an event like that interrupts power or closes a building, a refrigerated trailer or container can protect stored food and supplies while repairs are made. 2. Major construction
Bexar County covers about 1,240 square miles, and building sites spread across that area rarely have a finished kitchen or walk-in cooler on day one. A crew on a Von Ormy job may need cold storage for lunches, medications, or deliveries before permanent power is in. This is an example of the need, not a statement that we serve a particular project.
3. Major renovation
Picture a care facility in Von Ormy that replaces its kitchen. Residents still eat three meals a day, so a mobile kitchen with a walk-in cooler could carry the menu until the new kitchen is finished. This is a scenario, not a past job.
4. Emergency equipment access
Emergency response in Texas is coordinated by the Texas Division of Emergency Management, working with the emergency management office for Bexar County. Public emergency operations are separate from our own delivery arrangements. We plan the truck route and site access with you, and we do not claim a published staging route for any site.
5. Local rental costs
Starting prices: $995 per month for refrigerated containers and walk-in trailers, $4,995 per month for mobile kitchens, and $4,995 per month for dishwashing trailers. We add the delivery distance to Von Ormy, the setup, and your rental length to give a firm quote. See the price list or request a quote.
