Refrigeration Rental Options in New Castle, DE
New Castle is a community of about 5,720 residents (Census Bureau 2024 estimate) in New Castle County, where one cooler failure can leave a grocery, school cafeteria, or restaurant without cold storage. Typical customers in New Castle include restaurants and caterers, grocery stores, and nursing homes and care facilities.
Two products cover most New Castle calls. A refrigeration trailer is the quick answer: a walk-in cooler or freezer that arrives on wheels and plugs in. Our 20-foot units are listed at 15°F and -5°F, which are listed points rather than guarantees for every load. A refrigerated container suits storage that stays for weeks, in 20, 24, or 40 foot lengths.
For a New Castle site, plan a level area, a clear route for a tow vehicle, and 220V single-phase power (40 to 60 amps for our 20-foot units). If power is limited, a container with a generator set may be the answer. We confirm placement and power before delivery.

Cold Storage Planning in New Castle
1. Past emergencies and recovery needs
FEMA lists 11 federally declared major disasters that included New Castle County, Delaware. The most recent are Remnants Of Hurricane Ida (hurricane, declared October 24, 2021, disaster 4627); Tropical Storm Isaias (hurricane, declared October 2, 2020, disaster 4566); Covid-19 Pandemic (biological, declared April 5, 2020, disaster 4526). 2. Major construction
New plants, warehouses, schools, and road projects in and around New Castle can put kitchens, break rooms, and food service on temporary power and temporary schedules. This is an example of the need, not a statement that we serve a particular project. Tell us about yours and we plan cold storage around it.
3. Major renovation
Picture a restaurant in New Castle that closes its kitchen for a rebuild. A mobile kitchen, a dishwashing trailer, and a refrigerated container at the back door could keep the doors open while the permanent kitchen is gutted and rebuilt. This is a scenario, not a past job.
4. Emergency equipment access
The Delaware Emergency Management Agency leads emergency response in Delaware. For a New Castle site we agree the delivery route, the access point, and the power connection with you in advance, separate from public emergency operations, and we do not claim a published staging route.
5. Local rental costs
Refrigerated containers and walk-in refrigeration trailers start from $995 per month, mobile kitchens start from $4,995 per month, and dishwashing trailers start from $4,995 per month. These are starting rates; the delivery distance to New Castle, the size, the temperature, and the rental length change the final quote. See the price list or request a quote.
